Body-
With Tea Leaf and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in second ch from hook. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (30 sc)
Rnd 6- 2 sc in first sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, rep from * around. (36 sc)
Rnd 7- 1 sc in each sc around. (36 sc)
Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (42 sc)

Now, as for all Mookie Tookies, we will divide the stitches we have into 4 parts, and crochet the top in rows, rather than in rnds, to give our kitty the characteristic shape of a Mookie Tookie.

So we will be dividing the top of our Mookie in 4 sections, each with 14 sc per row.



Front-
Side #1-
Row 1- Join Daffodil. With H hook, work 1 sc in each of first 14 sc. Ch 1, turn. (14 sc)
Row 2- 1 sc in each of sc across. Ch 1, turn. (14 sc)
Rows 3 to 8- 1 sc in each sc across. (14 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 9- 1 sc in each sc across. (14 sc) Fasten off Daffodil, leaving long tail to sew with.
Front-
Side #2-
Row 1- Join Hot Red. With H hook, work 1 sc in each of first 14 sc. Ch 1, turn. (14 sc)
Row 2- 1 sc in each of sc across. Ch 1, turn. (14 sc)
Rows 3 to 8- 1 sc in each sc across. (14 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 9- 1 sc in each sc across. (14 sc) Fasten off Hot Red, leaving long tail to sew with.

Thread blunt needle with leftover tails and sew all the sides and the Front closed, leaving only the top open. Fasten off, weave in ends.

With Hot Red and Hi hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (9 sc)
Rnds 3 to 5- 1 sc in each sc around. (9 sc) Fasten off Hot Red, weave in tail
Rnd 6- Join Daffodil and work 1 sc in each sc around. (9 sc)
Rnds 7 to 16- 1 sc in each sc around. (9 sc) Fasten off Daffodil, weave in tail.
Rnd 17- Join Tea Leaf, make 1 sc in each sc around. (9 sc)
Rnds 18 to 24- 1 sc in each sc around. (9 sc) Fasten off Tea Leaf, leaving long tail to sew with. Measure Back and center tail, positioning it 4 rows below the end of the Tea Leaf section of Body. Pin in place. Thread blunt needle with tail you left and sew tail. Fasten off, weave in tail inside Body.
Muzzle (Make 2)-
With Pumpkin and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Measure and center Muzzle pieces a bit apart from each other and pin in place. Thread blunt needle with tails you left and sew in place. Once they are sewn, with what is left of the yarn, stitch across the center, several times, to “unite” the Muzzle pieces. Fasten off, weave in ends inside Body.
Nose-
With Petal Pink or Baby Pink and G hook, ch 2.
Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook. (1 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (3 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (5 sc) Fasten off Pink, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pin Nose in between Muzzle pieces and sew in place. Fasten off, weave in ends inside Body.
Thread blunt needle with Black and embroider Whiskers as seen in photos. Fasten off, weave in tails inside Body.
Eyes (Make 2)-
With Spring Green and G hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- 5 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pin Eyes in place as seen in photos. Use tails to sew. Fasten off, weave in tails inside Body.
Thread blunt needle with Black and embroider around Eyes for contour as seen in photos. Make a straight stitch inside each Eye for pupils. Embroider Eyebrows as seen in photos. Fasten off, Weave in tails inside Body.
Stuff kitty’s Body well and sew top closed. Fasten off, weave in tails.
Ears-
Daffodil Ear-
With Daffodil and G hook, ch 2.
Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook. (1 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (3 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (5 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 4- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (7 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 5- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (9 sc) Fasten off, weave in tail.
Second Piece-
Repeat all rows as for First Piece, fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.



Hot Red Ear-
First Piece-
With Hot Red and G hook, ch 2.
Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook. (1 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (3 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (5 sc) Ch 2, turn.
Row 4- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (7 sc) Ch 2, turn.

Second Piece-

Sew Ear pieces together and then to top of Head as seen in photos. Fasten off, weave in tail.
